Next Discussion Group: LeaderShift

At the next Change the World Discussion Group, we will be reading Leadershift by Orrin Woodward and Oliver DeMille.  There are three questions that we will be using to guide the discussion:

1.  How do the Five Laws of Decline apply to your Change the World Project (CWP)?
2.  How can you find the 10% that can help you advance your CWP?
3.  What can the group do to help you in your CWP efforts?

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you on January 25.  Have a great New Year's!

God bless

It's Never Too Early, Or Late, To Start Thinking About Changing The World

What is your 'Change The World' project?  What is that Big Dream/Purpose that God has placed on your heart?  What is 'the world' that you want to change?  I encourage all of you to give some serious thought time to each of these questions.  On Saturday morning, I will be meeting with my Change the World Mastermind Group in Oconomowoc, WI; you are all invited.  Just contact me for details and I will get you the time and location.  All that is required to attend is to have started thinking about the above 3 questions.

My Change the World Project is:  expanding Freedom by sharing truth and leading people into a self-directed leadership education.  My world that I'm working to change is the whole world.  It starts in my own house, by growing my leadership and leading my family.  From there I can impact my community.  That will have an impact on my state.  Which will impact my country.  Which will eventually impact the whole world.

Every Change the World Project must start with self.  If you don't master and lead yourself, you will never lead anyone else.  If your focus doesn't start with improving yourself, your influence in the world will be temporary and minimal.  As Orrin Woodward says, "You're the project!"

Detecting your purpose is what many people struggle with.  Unfortunately, some people will search their whole lives without detecting their God-given purpose.  There are a few questions you can ask yourself to help you get started:  What am I passionate about?  What are some things that really make me angry?  What breaks my heart?  What are my talents and gifts?

My Big Dream is to have Leadership 3000 and other leadership education providers dominating the global education scene.  It is my dream to see the conveyor belt programming system totally dismantled.  I have a dream that parents will take responsibility for raising and educating their children.  I dream of a world where every man and woman is free to think for him/herself,  and in such a free world people actually choose to exercise that freedom.  My purpose in life is to battle limiting beliefs, and wrong thinking, with truth.  Not in an arrogant and malicious way, but in love.  Truly caring about the person whom God has placed before me.

I hope that you choose to join us on Saturday, Dec. 28,  we need more people who are living on purpose.

God bless

Finishing Strong

As we approach the final week of October,  what are you running for to finish out 2013?  Do you even remember what your big goal was from January?  The good news is:  it's not too late.  You have two months left to get focused, or re-focused, on that goal and run your guts out.

Is there a certain book that you absolutely wanted to read this year?  Start it now.  Did you set a big business goal that absolutely scares you?  Dig in and start running for it NOW!  It's not too late, yet.  In three or four weeks it probably will be, if you don't dig in right now-today!  There is such a thing as too late.  Start working your guts out today, that's the best chance you have.  Even if you don't hit it, you'll be a lot farther along than if you just give up.  What you do over the course of the next two months will greatly impact what you accomplish in 2014.

2013 is not over yet.  Don't give up on this year.  Don't let another year just slip by.  Make the decision, today, that you are going to win.  You are worthy of this victory.  It will only come, though, if you get started.  Start today!  Stop waiting, stop complaining, stop making excuses!  Get to work, go claim your victory!

True Learning

Are you like me, in that you really love the learning process?  I can't get enough of it.  I am truly addicted to learning.  I love reading, I love listening to audios on various topics, and my greatest love of all is teaching.  There are few challenges greater than trying to inspire a group of people, of any age, to truly want to learn and educate themselves.

I believe that there are only two ways to really learn something:  1. Apply the new information in your life.  2. Teach it to someone else.

Applying new information into your own life has to be the first step.  If you're not doing what you're teaching you are a hypocrite and only a theorist.  After all, what's the point of gathering new information if you're not going to do anything with it.  You'll only sound smart until people take a closer look at your life.  The application process is really where learning begins.  It's when you start applying that new information into your life that you really begin to understand what the books and Cd's are trying to teach you. You'll fail at first.  Since you're doing something new and uncomfortable your words won't come out quite right and your timing probably won't be that great, either.  But if you have the courage to keep at it, you will get better.  Your life will improve as you hone that skill and continue to practice it.

Teaching is the ultimate in learning.  Teaching always reveals to me how much more I have to learn on a given subject, as well as how much I need to improve my communication and presentation skills.  No matter how well I think I know a subject, teaching it always reveals areas for improvement.  My favorite part of teaching is sharing knowledge and information with people who are hungry to learn and grow.  I have never had a teaching session where I didn't learn as much from the students as they learned from me.  I love how their questions force me to think and evaluate my own thoughts- why do I think the way I think?  I strongly encourage everyone to take advantage of every teachable moment that presents itself throughout your week. Sometimes you'll be the teacher, sometimes you'll be the student.  Be prepared to be whichever the situation calls for, many times you'll probably be both.

God bless

Developing Young Leaders

Listen to this Article

I believe most parents truly want their children to grow up and do something great with their life.  The question I have for parents is:  Are you?

Are you living, and pursuing, your God-given purpose every day?
Are you striving to learn and grow every day?
Are you reading every day?

If you want your children to grow into leaders, the world-shapers, of tomorrow, you need to be setting the example at home.  Do your children ever see you reading a leadership book?  If you haven't taken responsibility for your own education, your children will most likely follow your lead as they grow up.  "Do as I say, not as I do," is not leadership.  What you do will be duplicated, especially by your children.

The biggest failure I see in education today, is PARENTS.  Parents seem to want to turn their kids over to someone else, and wash their hands of the responsibility for their child's education.  Schools are programming centers.  Very few schools in our country actually educate.  They focus on teaching what to think, not how to think.  "How" to think is much more important.  Your children will not receive that kind of education at a conveyor-belt school.

As a parent, if you are not plugged into a Leadership Education yourself, your children are more likely to grow up to be part of the masses- not one of the leaders.  It is essential to your child's growth and development to see his parents constantly striving to get better; to learn and grow daily, working hard to really live their mission in life.  If you aren't already, I would strongly encourage you to get started on your leadership education.  You are worth it.  Your children and this generation desperately need it.  We need you to courageously grow your leadership-ability.

If God blessed you with the gift of children, He has also blessed you with the responsibility of leadership.  Will you answer that call?

Quarterly Study Plan

As we near the end of July, have you started thinking about your fourth quarter studies?  Are you going to study something specific to Thanksgiving or Christmas?  When was the last time you read about the Pilgrims, Plymouth Rock, or The Mayflower Compact?

What about the Reformation?  I know, as a culture, we have sold out to celebrating the pagan holiday of Halloween, but October 31 is Reformation.  The celebration of Christians breaking away from the tyranny of the Catholic Church.

And Christmas, my favorite time of year.  There is so much around Christmas to help us stay grounded in the true meaning of this blessed holiday.  From God's Word to Dickens to all the great activities available at this time of year.  Will you be attending a live nativity somewhere?  What about a horse-drawn sleigh/carriage ride?  What are some of your favorite Christmas carols?

As July comes to a close next week, it is not too early to start planning your fourth quarter.  Plan your studies to maximize your effectiveness.  Keep up the great work.

Restore the Republic

On this Independence Day weekend, it's a great time to take a serious look at our country, and ourselves.  We can all identify a dozen different problems facing our country right now.  What is your solution?  Are you one of millions blaming the politicians?  Is your answer, "If somebody would just..."?   Do you really believe that Washington is the problem, and that Washington can solve the problem?

If the last three questions identify you, then you are part of the problem.  Very few of the problems we face are rooted in Washington D.C.  All of the problems we face are rooted within the homes of America.  The root causes of our current decline are:  little, to no, parental involvement in the education of  their children; too few adults engaged in a leadership education themselves;  too many people worshiping anything as God, except for the One True God;  too many people that have chosen ease and comfort over sacrifice and freedom/liberty.

There are probably many more that we could discuss, but I think that's plenty to get the conversation started.  Ultimately, the root of all our problems is that as a nation we have turned our backs on the Lord God Almighty, and have embraced satan's empty promises of ease and pleasure.  What we need is for the men and women of this nation to turn back to God, and become Godly entrepreneurs, husbands, wives, parents, and community leaders.  This doesn't happen through any kind of legislation.  This happens by men and women rejecting the lies of Satan and the world; by being baptized and turning from their sinful lifestyles, and by submitting their lives to Christ.  It's time to turn off the t.v. and start thinking for ourselves.

The first step that you can take is to get plugged in to a self-directed leadership education.  That is essential.  A leadership education is the foundation that everything else is built upon.  If your only education is coming from a conveyor-belt school or mainstream media sources, you are voluntarily enslaving yourself to billionaires that don't care about you.  They are just happy to use you as a pawn to accomplish their agenda, i.e. influencing the way you vote and gaining the hearts and minds of your children.

If you are ready to take control of your life, contact me (use Contact Us form).  I will help you start your leadership journey and break the chains of mainstream media bondage.  God made you a genius, I would love to help you bring it out.

Summer Vacation

With summer vacation upon us, are your children done learning for the next three months?  Do you understand how detrimental this is to your children?  There is really no excuse to ever take a break from learning.

Summer vacation is actually a purposeful aspect of the conveyor belt schooling system.  Your children are being taught a lasting lesson through their summer vacations:  Studying is hard and tedious, and you should look for every opportunity to break from it and avoid learning at all costs.

Down time and relaxation are absolutely critical to restoring your mental and emotional reserves.  But there are very few legitimate reasons to ever take a three month hiatus from your education.  Learning is a life-long, year round, activity.  If you are truly educating yourself, you will never be able to take such an extended period of time off from your studies.  Once you allow learning to saturate your heart and soul, studying and learning is just who you are.  You won't be able to go long periods of time without reading and studying, because those things are who you are, it's what you do.

I invite you to start your leadership education.

How We Make A Difference

This is something that has been nagging at me for some time.  That's the reason why I started Leadership 3000.  I want to be a force for good in this world.  I want to impact people's lives in a positive way.  I want to do whatever I can to empower people to live their purpose.

Sometimes I look at my life, and what I did with my day, and I ask myself, " Did I do enough today?  Did I make a difference in some body's life?"  Too many days it seems like the best answer I can give is, "I don't know."

Too many days, it doesn't feel like I did anything to help anybody.  I want that to change.  I want to spend my days pouring into the lives of others.  That is why I offer services to help you get new information into your life, as well as coaching to help you get a fresh perspective on whatever you are struggling with.

I don't know what your struggles and battles are, but I would love to help you work through them.  I have faced a few in my life; many of which I faced alone.  Not because I didn't have anybody around me to help me, but because I was too ignorant and prideful to ask for help.  I didn't understand the power of having someone help me, who could see my situation from a different perspective.  Choosing to face life's struggles alone is a long, slow, painful journey.  I have learned that it's much better to use the wisdom and perspective of others to help me learn the lesson quicker, so that I can move from struggle-to-struggle quicker, which allows me to grow faster.

I don't know what you're battling right now, but I do know that you don't have to fight alone.

God bless

Read In 3's

Do you ever find yourself struggling to get through a book?  I occasionally run into this problem, but I have incorporated the idea of reading in 3's to combat this problem.

I find that if I categorize my reading, I can put together a strategy that keeps me interested in what I'm reading.  One category is life (faith, family, finance, fitness, freedom, friends, fun, and following).  Another category is the 'book of the month' from my LIFE subscription.  The third category is something specific that I need to work on ( people skills, success thinking, etc.).

As I rotate through the 8 f's, I pick three books for that specific subject, i.e. faith.  I do the same with the other two categories.  This way I can really focus on growing in an area, without trying to grow and excel at everything all at one time.  This keeps me from getting frustrated and distracted.  Three books seems to be the perfect amount of study for a subject at a time.  I've tried as many as five, but that gets to be too many books and too drawn out.  Three books, in three subjects really keeps the learning process moving.  I don't get bogged down in any area.

I think that's one of the problems with schooling, it's too much at a time.  Every day you get pounded with the same subjects over and over.  No wonder why the real lessons being taught in school have nothing to do with the subjects being taught.  Textbook teaching is probably the easiest way around actually teaching.  The children aren't really learning anything, as much as they are memorizing bullet points (which may or may not be true) to regurgitate on a test.  Textbook teaching does not teach a person how to think.  Textbooks are used to program what people think.  To learn more about the real motives of schooling, I would suggest that you read Dumbing Us Down by John Taylor Gatto.

What's Your Dream?

Do you have a big dream in your heart?  Is there something that keeps nagging at the back of your mind, and won't go away?  If you already have your dream identified, do you need help clarifying how to start pursuing it?

Having a big dream can be frustrating and exciting, all at the same time.  Taking the first steps towards that dream can be scary.  You will have to leave your comfort zone and many familiar activities behind to pursue it.  Your dream is worth it, YOU are worth it!

If you are ready to get serious about making that big dream a reality, contact me.  That's what I do.  That's what Leadership 3000 is all about.  I want to help you make your big dream come true.  That is why God has placed me right here, right now.  To help you.

Like Bruce Wilkinson says in The Dream Giver, " If you don't pursue you Big Dream, something important won't happen."  Who's life won't be blessed if you give into your fears and don't pursue your big dream?  Somebody, many somebodies, are counting on you.  Let's start the journey together.  I look forward to hearing from you.

College...REALLY?

How much does a semester of college cost?  That seems awfully expensive, considering that 60% of college graduates aren't even getting jobs in their field.

If you really want more schooling and the credential, then college is perfect for you.  If you want success and your dreams, then an education is what you need.

The choice is yours.  It's your money, it's your life...choose wisely.

What's Holding Your Business Back?

How often do you think about that question?  When was the last time you took an honest look at the scoreboard, and really thought about what it was trying to tell you?  If you look at the numbers every week, month, and quarter, but don't spend time thinking about what they're really saying your business is in trouble. Many people look at a bad report card and start trying to justify the feed back.  If you're not willing to confront reality and deal with what's really going on, if the numbers aren't where they need to be, your company is going to struggle to survive in this incredibly competitive economy.

If your business isn't where you want it to be, the best place to start is by looking at your people.  Do you and the rest of your leaders create  a culture where people are passionate about what they are doing?  Are they appreciated, and do they know it?  If you and your leaders aren't reading daily, then I think we just identified a big part of your problem.  If you and your people aren't growing, how can your business possibly grow?

If this is your problem, there is some good news.  This isn't as difficult to fix as it may seem.  It isn't easy for people to change and grow, but it's not impossible either.  The ultimate determining factor is the hunger level of you and your people to truly become the best.

That's what we specialize in- helping people achieve their very best.  Helping them become the champion that God created them to be!

What is a Leadership Education?

A leadership education is a self-directed education.  It is a process of educating yourself utilizing a system of books, audios, dvd's, and a mentor/guide.  You might be thinking, "If I have a mentor or a guide, then how is it 'self-directed'?"

The mentor/guide is simply that.  The mentor gives feedback to allow you to make sure you're headed in the right direction.  He helps to make sure that you stay focused in the spot that is going to give you the best return for your time.  The biggest job of the mentor is to help you get started. Starting anything is always the most challenging.  That's where the most time and energy will be wasted if you have to figure it out for yourself.

A good mentor can also help you define your goal, and then put together a game plan to help you achieve that goal.  That is ultimately the purpose of a self-directed leadership education.

I am committed to helping you make your dreams come true.  Contact me and let's get started.
